Ground Hog's Day

The other day was Ground Hog's Day and ........ it will be an early Spring! I love warm weather and cannot wait until Spring and Summer!! I love being outside in the fresh air!

This summer should be fun with the girls. Lilie will be walking and will have fun playing in the back yard.

I can't wait for the weather to get nice enough to take walks! I love taking walks!!

That Ground Hog better be right!! Hurry up Spring!

Baby #3

Baby #3 will be here in 9 days or sooner! It seems like I have been pregnant forever, but it also seems like it flew by! The weirdest thing is I feel the best that I have felt in 8 months!! Why couldn't I feel this good the whole time????

Summer!!

The warm weather is finally here and I am loving it!!
Me and my friends are getting ready for another weekend in New Buffalo! Can't wait!!
We are going to do a little pool, a little eating & drinking and LOTS of talking! It is a great way to de-stress! And believe me!! I need to do some de-stressing!!!

For the longest time, I resisted Facebook. Everyone talked about it and asked me to join and I refused. I did not get what all of the hype was all about. THEN.. curiosity got to me and I wanted to check it out.
I signed up and it was all down hill from there!! I check it all of the time - even at work! But it is a great way to keep in touch with people and reconnect with old friends! I have talked to people that I have not seen or talked to since High School!
I even conned my friend Lisa into signing up and she was against it more them me!

Spring??

I just want to know if Spring is ever going to be here!!
We get teased with a nice day everyone in awhile, but it has been nice for 2 days in a row!! Could it really be that Spring has arrived?

My Great-Great Grandparents

I saw this picture on my mom's blog and I could not help but to steal it!

I just fell in love with this picture. I will have to get a real copy made. I want to get a 5x7 and put it up in my house.

I know the prefect place for it - on the small quilt shelf downstairs. It will fit in perfect.

Day at the Museum

Today I went with Kylie's call to the Field Museum for a field trip.

We had a nice today together. I wish that we had more time to explore the museum, but I do plan on going back with Brian and the girls. I really wanted to see the Egyptian exhibit, but we did not have time.

My birthday

Last week was my birthday. I took the week off of work to celebrate.
On my birthday I went out to dinner with my friends Lisa, Chris and Stephanie. We had some great conversations and girl talk. It is great to have friends like the ones that I have. We can talk about anything and everything and no one judges.
I have to go back to work tomorrow and I am not looking forward to it. It was nice to have some time off and send extra time with the kids.
Kylie's birthday is the day before mine. When I was pregnant I did not want to have her on my birthday. I wanted each of us to have our own days to celebrate. I am glad that we each have our own day, but I do love having our birthdays so close.

Secret Guilty Pleasure

Yes, I do love watching Rock of Love Bus. I cannot help it! It is my secret guilty pleasure.

It all started when someone from work was telling me about the first Rock of Love. It sounded so funny I had to check it out. It was all down hill from there!!! I have it set on my DVR as a series recording. I watch it every week!

It is a total train wreck! I LOVE IT!!!

Yeah, I'm still here!

It was been a very busy past month .. with the Thanksgiving re-do that my mom had, Christmas, New Years and back to school for the kids.

But last weekend I did go to lia sophia Success Camp. And yes, if you feel the need, you can laugh .. it's ok.

It was a fun and information filled weekend. I got a lot of ideas and new things to try. I did take some time off of ls during the holidays but I have a party tomorrow and I am getting back into the swing of things!

What Happened to Thanksgiving?

I totally missed Thanksgiving. I was sick from Wednesday night all the way until Sunday. I came home for work on Wednesday and did not leave my house until Monday morning when I went back to work. I had so many plans for my 4 days off from work, but nothing got done!
I completing missed Thanksgiving dinner, shopping, the movies, seeing family...EVERYTHING!
I am trying to talk my mom into doing a Thanksgiving Do Over.
But I am off of work now until Thursday so I plan on getting some things done, including Christmas shopping. I asked Brian to take a day off and shop with me. We will see how that goes!! Unless he is in the mood, he is not a very good shopping partner.

8 Days and Counting

Only 8 days until Thanksgiving. This used to be one of my favorite holidays (next to the 4th of July). This year will be different.
Me, Brian and the girls always eat dinner at my grandma's house but this year we will be eating at my mom's. It will be different. The whole holiday season will be different this year!
I am not sure what to expect yet. Only time will tell.

DD & Old Town

This weekend was great. Me and my friends stayed downtown at Stephanie's town house for a girls weekend. On Saturday we went to lunch and stopped at Sweet Mande B's to pick up some awesome cupcakes! Then we got mani's and pedi's. It was freezing and we are walking down the street with flip flops on! Crazy!
Then we headed out to see Dirty Dancing! We had a suite pass so we had some appetizers and drinks before the show.
It was a good show, but it was obvious that the guy who played Johnny was hired for his dancing skills vs his acting skills. But it was still a good show and we had great seats - 5th row center!
However, I was sitting behind a couple who were making out the whole time. And to make it worse, the girl then started to feed the guy gummy bears half way through the play!
After we went back to the town house for some drinks and dips.
Sunday morning we went to the Bongo Room for breakfast and then back to Sweet Mande B's for some more cupcakes!!
We ended the weekend with some shopping and a train ride home. And you guessed it. I sat behind a couple who were making out the whole ride home! What is with me sitting behind all of the people making out?!?!?!
But lots of fun to be had by all!!! And as always .. what happens in Old Town, Stays in Old Town!

Count Down to "DD" - 5 days!

We have started the count down to Dirty Dancing! Me & my friends are starting to make our final plans. The emails have begun with pressing matters ... when do we leave to go downtown, where should be go out to eat, who is driving, what kinds of dips and drinks should everyone bring, what time should we get manis and pedis....
The planning is almost as much fun as the weekend!!

Room Mom & Sitting Man

Today I was the room mom for Kylie's class at school for her Halloween party. I had fun and I know that Kylie liked me being there. It was nice to see her at school and see how she interacted with her teachers and friends in class.

But by the end of the day my feet hurt!

I did get to rest for a little while before taking the kids trick or treating for 4 hours! But it was fun.

There is a guy in the neighborhood who dresses as a gorilla each year and walks around. He had his mask off and the kids were fine going up to him to trick or treat. He then put is mask on so we could take pictures of him with the kids and both kids started to scream and ran off. Abbie was stuck to my leg like glue! It might sound bad, but I laughed so hard! The guy said that it happens all of the time!

Plus there is a man who dresses up and just sits in a chair in his driveway with the candy bowl in his lap. He does not move or say a word. He just sits there!!! Brian and Tony Dewilde said that they would give me $20 if I went up and sat on his lap. I was tempted but it was a little too freaky!! But it was a good Halloween! Even if those punk kids stole our candy bowl again! Second year in a row! Why can't you just take the candy and LEAVE THE BOWL! THANKS BRIAN!!!!
